The Blue Filamented Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus cyaneus) is a brilliantly colored and highly active reef fish known for its striking courtship displays. This species is a favorite among aquarists due to its vibrant hues and peaceful nature, making it a great addition to reef tanks.

- Origin/Habitat: Native to the Indo-Pacific, found in coral reefs and outer reef slopes.
- Maximum Size: Up to 4 inches (10 cm)

- Level of Difficulty: Intermediate; requires a well-established tank with stable water conditions.
Appearance & Physical Traits:
- Coloration & Pattern: Males display electric blue, orange, and red hues with extended filament-like dorsal fins, especially during courtship. Females are more subdued in color.
- Body Shape & Structure: Slender and elongated body designed for quick, darting movements.
Habitat & Environmental Needs:
- Minimum Tank Size: 40 gallons (150 liters) or larger.
